Decorated Tag
A decorated tag that I have made for the Summer Love Challenge on the Gecko Galz Blog August 2020.
The size of the tag is 8 inches long by 4 inches wide.
To start I edged the tag with gold gilding paste, then I papered the front of the tag with a pretty patterned paper from the Gecko Galz Etsy store, and the image of the couple is also from the Gecko Galz.
For behind the frame I cut a lace trim into sections and layered that so it is larger than the framed image. I then used a die cut frame in purple. The image of the couple was glued on top of the lace and then the frame layered over that to make it the focal point of the tag. I then arranged the paper flowers in white, ivory and purple into a spray and some sisal and then arranged it around the bottom right hand corner of the frame, also on the top left of the frame I added three pearls.
At the base of the tag I added an ivory coloured lace trim and some small flower embellishments and for the top of the tag I added a small ivory coloured lace flower and a small flower embellishment
The digital images used from the Gecko Galz on Etsy are
Springs Song Paper Pack
Your tag with the monthly image is beautiful! Purple isn't a colour I use a lot and I don't know why as it I can be so delicate and romantic as on your vintage tag. The lacy background behind the picture frame adds beautifully soft dimension and the flower corner is wonderfully textural with the blooms and sisal. A stunning creation once more, dear Janet! xx
